Gender-based analysis plus 2025-26

Introduction

In 2018, Parliament passed the Canadian Gender Budgeting Act. The departmental plans and departmental results reports are being used to fulfill the President of the Treasury Board’s obligations to make public, every year, analysis on the impacts of expenditure programs on gender and diversity.

Section 1: Institutional GBA Plus governance and capacity

Governance

Given that the Northern Pipeline Agency is in a ramped down condition and utilizes only one FTE, no key actions are planned to advance the implementation of GBA Plus governance in the Agency during 2025-26.

Capacity

No major initiatives are planned to be undertaken and there were no previous initiatives identified.

Section 2: Gender and diversity impacts, by program

Core Responsibility: Oversee and regulate the planning and construction of the Canadian portion of the Alaska Highway Natural Gas Pipeline Project.

Program Goals: GBA Plus is not applied to the limited activities undertaken by the Agency.
